University Place, a Franciscan Community, presents “The Upside of Rightsizing” on Wednesday, April 24, from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm, on their campus located at 1700 Lindberg Road in West Lafayette.

This free, informational session is for seniors who are overwhelmed by the thought of sifting through life possessions after making the decision to downsize. People accumulate a lot of things over their lifetime, whether they inherit objects from family members, or their children leave things behind. When considering a move, seniors can feel burdened by the task of sorting through it all. Sometimes they even get “stuck” and struggle moving forward.

The guest speaker will be Danielle Gaylord, co-founder and co-partner of SOS, a company specializing in move management, home consolidation, and professional organization. She is a Certified Relocation & Transitioning Specialist and active member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers. Her passion is to ease the burden and stress associated with moving seniors from a long-time family home.

Attendees are required to RSVP by April 22 to call (765) 464-5611 or emailjesmith@franciscancommunities.com. Tours of the community will be available and light refreshments will be served.
