Franciscan Village Presents “The Theory of Retrogenesis”

July 30, 2019 - Franciscan Village

brain

Franciscan Village in Lemont, part of the Franciscan Communities, is hosting an informational presentation by guest speaker Julie P. Kollada, CDP, Franciscan Care Solutions Managing Partner, focusing on the Theory of Retrogenesis on Tuesday, July 30 from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on their campus at 1270 Franciscan Drive in Lemont, IL.

The Theory of Retrogenesis suggests that the brains of the people with Alzheimer’s disease deteriorate functionally and cognitively in the reverse order of how their brains developed from birth. Building on that, the Theory of Retrogenesis allows us to go into the world of someone afflicted with Alzheimer’s and understand their realities, providing a framework for more positive interactions to minimize resistance and aggression while approaching challenging behaviors.

Join us for this special program. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the presentation. Seating is limited, so please RSVP by July 26 to 630-243-3470 or crakow@franciscancommunities.org.
