Wheeling, IL – November 5, 2019 –The Addolorata Villa in Wheeling, part of the Franciscan Communities, will be hosting the fall Learning Institute program, “Archaeology Uncovers Mystery of Atlantis,” presented in partnership with Harper College, on Thursday, December 12, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is one of many enriching and entertaining educational opportunities available to Addolorata Villa residents and all local adults ages 55 and older.

One of the most enduring stories of the past revolves around a city called Atlantis. Scholars debate the possible existence of this society and search endlessly through documents and accounts by great historic authors as to the location and the outcome of this fabled city. This class will take a look at the evidence uncovered by archaeologists and historians as to what might be the real story about Atlantis.

With no required educational background, homework, or grades, the Lifelong Learning Institute provides great discussions, new friendships, and the joy of learning among peers. To secure your spot in this free program, RSVP with Liz Starman at (847) 808-4421. Seating is limited.
