Franciscan Village Invites You to Make this Lent Different

February 8, 2020 - Franciscan Village

lent event

Lemont, IL – February 6, 2020 – Franciscan Village in Lemont, part of the Franciscan Communities, has invited guest speaker Marge Garbacz to lead a discussion on Wednesday, March 14, at 11:30 a.m. centering around ways you can make Lent different this year.

The 40 days of Lent are the traditional Christian days of prayer, fasting, and alms giving in preparation for Easter. Many of us have been doing some version of these three practices since our childhood. Guest speaker Marge Garbacz will share some unique variations to those traditions which can result in a more fruitful Lenten season.

She is certified Director of Religious Education and Pastoral Associate in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Marge has over 40 years of experience and has given numerous presentations on liturgy and sacramental life throughout the diocese.

This presentation will take place on the Franciscan Village campus located at 1270 Franciscan Drive. Seating is limited and lunch will be served. Please RSVP by March 2 to 630-243-3479 or crakow@franciscancommunities.org.
