Addolorata Villa Presents Hitler VS. Art, Music & The Monument Men and Women
March 13 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us on Monday, March 13 – 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Art always suffers from theft and destruction during war. Hitler was very aware of the influence that the arts had on how people thought, so the arts had to be controlled. An obsessive-compulsive about all his ideas, he was very specific about the sculpture, paintings, dance, and music that would be tolerated and collected by the Reich and the “degenerative” art that had to be destroyed. Ann Leslie takes you down the Nazi’s path of destruction as she describes how they stole and destroyed some of the world’s most precious artwork.
