Tending to the Whole Person
A key component of life in a Franciscan Community is the attention given to wellness on many different levels. We take a holistic approach to senior care by recognizing the importance of wellness in all eight dimensions: physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually, occupationally, environmentally and spiritually.
In addition to providing excellent care, life enriching activities and events to promote active senior living, our ministry also believes very strongly in providing for the spiritual wellbeing of our residents, associates and families through faith-based care. Finding a connection to your inner values as you age can help expand your sense of purpose, giving more meaning to your days and making it easier to get through the difficult times. While Franciscan has roots in the Catholic faith, those of all beliefs are welcome.
On each of our campuses we have beautiful accommodations for spiritual activities including meditation, prayer and celebration as part of a worship community. Opportunities are available to be involved in a choir, spiritual life committees, and other service initiatives. Our communities also embrace the gifts of creation in our beautiful grounds, many of which have outdoor spaces for meditation and reflection. Visitors and guests are always welcome. We have trained pastoral care staffs available to meet the needs of residents and family members as we journey through this important time in life.
Components of our spiritual activities and programming include:
- Regular onsite Catholic mass and services for other religious traditions
- Prayer Groups
- Chaplain Services
- Bible Studies
- Apartment blessings
- Bereavement Support
- Book discussions and programs on spirituality
Come and spend time with us as we celebrate all moments of life!
